Designed by architect Lisbeth Sachs, the Kurtheater Baden was opened in 1952. Some 70 years later, the listed building was repaired, renovated and expanded by architectural firm Elisabeth and Martin Boesch Architekten.

The lettering melds harmoniously with the detailed, carefully planned and implemented architecture. Three-dimensional gold-grey aluminium letters direct theatregoers to the two foyers and to the theatre hall. In the backstage and rehearsal areas, the lettering is painted directly on the walls. Specially designed notepads outside the dressing rooms are an uncomplicated way to assign rooms to performers.
