Thousands of bright umbrellas suspended in the air around the Grossmünster church in Zurich: To celebrate their 10th anniversary, “bif”, a counselling and information centre for women, organised the happening “Mut fassen”. The event commemorated all the women who sought help or refuge from domestic violence at the centre and who dared to take a step towards changing their situation.
The happening was also set up to encourage the general public, relatives, neighbours and friends to become active against domestic violence and to support abused women and their children.
