Info Apartment complex “Am Glattbogen”

The apartment complex belonging to the cooperative ASIG is located in the Schwamendingen neighbourhood of Zurich and was part of urban planner Albert Heinrich Steiner’s “garden city” design. In the first phase of a larger project, three long, angular buildings were replaced.
In addition to the gardens on the front-facing sides of the buildings, a versatile interior area was created to offer both private outdoor living as well as common green spaces. In the spacious courtyards, numbers made of a folded aluminium band mark the entrances.
